About Me

Hey guys! After years of getting ready, this little blog is finally up and running.

I’m a skateboard fanatic from China. Unlike a bunch of kids in the US or Europe who start skating when they’re five, my skateboarding journey didn’t kick off until way later.

I got my first skateboard when I was 17 and skated my heart out until I was about 28 yrs old.

Then, real life started to catch up with me—my friends got jobs, responsibilities piled up, and our skate sessions just naturally became fewer and fewer.

But here’s the cool part: even after all these years, I never lost my love for skateboarding.

During my working years, I tried different gigs, hoping I could make my passion my job.

I was a foreign trade salesperson, then moved into digital marketing, and ended up sticking with digital marketing.

Currently, I work from home and do some internet-related jobs. Being a digital nomad is much happier than running my own company or something like that.

Now, you might be thinking, If you love skateboarding so much, why not open a skate shop in China?

Well, the truth is, running a physical skate shop in China is really tough.

Skateboarding isn’t a mainstream sport here yet, and most skaters are in big cities.

Opening a shop in a big city means high rent, tons of pressure, and who knows if people will even come in.

It’s hard for an independent shop to stay afloat, let alone grow.

So after trying a bunch of different things, I realized something:

The best way for me to stay in the skateboarding world is through the internet. That’s why this blog exists.

Here, I’ll recommend skate products that I really think are great—stuff I’ve tested, used, and can totally stand behind.

I make a little bit of money from these recommendations, but I want to be super clear:

If I recommend a product, it’s because I think it’s worth your cash.

And if any of my recommendations suck, I hope you’ll tell me straight up.

I’ll update and replace them asap. My goal is simple:

To share the most useful skate tips and the most reliable product suggestions with other skaters.

I’ve been skating for ages, and I’ve had all the usual good and bad times:

  • Buying a board that was way too heavy– Trucks that didn’t turn worth a darn.
  • Wheels that were too hard for the rough Chinese pavement.
  • Bearings that got all dusty after one skate session.

Those experiences taught me what works and what doesn’t.

This blog is where I’ll put all that knowledge—so you don’t have to waste your money like I did.

Besides skateboarding, I’m also into vintage motorcycles. One of my favorite things is riding my bike to a skatepark with my board strapped to the back.

There’s just something about that combo—open road, fresh air, and a good skate session—that makes life feel just right.

In the future, I’ll be sharing more skate-related stuff like:

  • Cheap but good complete skateboards.
  • Three mistakes almost every beginner makes.
  • Wheels that are best for rough city streets.
  • The trucks, bearings, and grip tape I use myself.
  • Stories from the skate community.

And even some skate culture, video tips, and lifestyle content

If you want to support me, just reading, sharing, or bookmarking my posts means a ton.

Your support helps me keep this blog going and keep doing what I love.

I hope you find something useful here, and I hope skateboarding gives you the same sense of freedom it’s given me.
